- ➤ A group from Florida and Iowa is volunteering with Back Bay Mission in Biloxi for the next two weeks—helping to build ramps and porches on local homes. The volunteers have returned since Hurricane Katrina to support the community each year. WXXV 25
- ➤ Advocates and community leaders met in Gulfport on Wednesday at the Knight Nonprofit Center to work on stopping child abuse and helping kids heal—organizers included Canopy Children’s Solution’s Child Advocacy Center and the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. - ➤ Entergy Mississippi will start its largest grid upgrade today to improve service and cut outages by 50% over the next five years using a $300 million program called Superpower Mississippi—funded by new revenues from large industrial investments.
