Allain Andry, author of the popular children's book Louie the Buoy , returns to Pass Christian Books to sign his newest book, That's Not a Knot on Saturday, November 7th from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM. Pass Books will have That's Not a Knot and Allain's other two children's books on sale including Louie the Buoy.

That’s Not a Knot is a children’s story by Allain C. Andry III, illustrated by Vira Bohachuk, set on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the Bay of St. Louis and about a boy’s sailing adventure, a storm, and a lesson in safety.

The story follows a boy who has earned permission to row his skiff anywhere in the Bay of Saint Louis after passing his dad’s safety tests. He rows to his favorite buoy, ties his skiff to its ladder, and suddenly a squall hits, breaking loose. Left stranded atop the buoy, he waits until a neighbor finds his skiff, tows it to shore, and picks up his dad and brother to search for him. Once rescued, his patient father teaches him again how to tie a bowline knot — reinforcing the importance of proper safety skills.
