- ➤ The Southern Arts Alliance announced a production of ‘A Southern Nutcracker’ scheduled for December 20-21 at MGCCC Jackson County Campus Fine Arts Theater in Biloxi, with local actor Ryan Mahan starring alongside Lisa Hendrickson & MK Steverson. WXXV 25
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Our Lady Academy seniors Ambrie Alderman, Loralai Williford, and Tilley Newman have signed national letters of intent to play sports at the University of Mary Marauders, Pearl River Community College Wildcats, and Rhodes College Lynx. - ➤ St. Martin High School Theatre Department took part in the Regional Drama Fest this past weekend, earning All Star Cast props and several awards for Best Puppetry, Ensemble, and Distinguished Play. The group will head to state finals in Oxford soon. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Harrison County School District held its inaugural Community Partnership Appreciation Breakfast this morning to honor 50 partners who strengthen school programs. District leaders celebrated contributions from individuals, organizations + faith communities at the event. WXXV 25

- ➤ Mississippi Power advised residents on using energy-efficient techniques when decorating with Christmas lights during the holiday season — a tip designed to help lower energy bills. WXXV 25

- ➤ Mississippi state officials urge families to use flame-retardant decorations and inspect light strings and cords when decorating to cut fire risks.
