🎓 Education
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College announced a new evening electrical technology program at its Harrison County campus, with registration open and classes starting January 14 & the program runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
MGCCC celebrated the achievements of 68 2025 Lowe’s Foundation Scholarship recipients at its Harrison County Campus.
The event honored students in career and technical programs like Construction Management Technology, Electrical Technology, Drafting & Design, and HVAC with IoT, and announced future application opportunities.

Singing River Health System will host blood drives in December at Pascagoula Hospital on Dec.
11, Ocean Springs Hospital on Dec. 15, and at Gulfport in class room 2/3 on Dec. 19 — all donors receive a $10 e-gift card.

The Gulfport Admirals clinched a 21-20 win in the Class 7A State Championship as senior quarterback Parker Nettles connected with junior receiver Mylan Stubbs on a game-winning Hail Mary pass delivered with two seconds left.
