  • The Orange Grove Public Library is hosting a new food pantry this holiday season to help residents facing food insecurity. Carrissa Corbett (founder of Memorable Moments Outreach) led the project with local businesses joining in.  WXXV 25
  • Biloxi celebrated the start of the holiday season on Thursday when Mayor FoFo Gilich and WXXV’s Elizabeth Keen flipped the switch on the lighthouse to display red & green lights. Spectators enjoyed a performance by Nativity BVM’s children’s choir, hot chocolate, cookies & a visit from Santa Claus.  WXXV 25
  • Due to weather, Biloxi’s Christmas on the Water Parade is now set for Sunday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. along the waterfront. Rusty David said fun activities are planned—expect local excitement.  WXXV 25

CULTURE NEWS

  • Due to rain, Christmas in D’Iberville has moved Santa’s Workshop and the Grinch movie showing to the Recreation Center while canceling the parade and tree lighting; the adjustments affect this weekend’s events (call 228-273-3343 for details).  WXXV 25
  • A Christmas Story musical will hit the Beau Rivage stage from Dec. 12–27. The production will bring the holiday tale to life with a cast that includes 11-year-old Charlie Palmer in his first professional role.  WXXV 25

  • Three seniors from Our Lady Academy signed with colleges on Friday afternoon in Bay St. Louis to advance their academic and sports careers.
