- ➤ The Biloxi Parks & Recreation Department will reschedule the Christmas on the Water Children’s Parade and Town Green Lighting to Monday, Dec. 15 due to forecast inclement weather. The Parade will begin at 6 p.m. after a 5:15 p.m. check-in on Reynoir Street, and the participation deadline is extended to Monday, Dec. 8. WXXV 25
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies cares for sea turtles and noted that the animals are excited about a recent discovery on Ship Island — News 25's Dave Elliot visited the center to report on the story. WXXV 25

- ➤ Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced three new scratch-off games that hit shelves statewide Tuesday. The games—Quick 7s with a top prize of $7,000, Winners Galore offering prizes up to $25,000, and Double the Money with a grand prize of $100,000—also let players enter non-winning tickets into a second-chance drawing. - ➤ Local elected officials will ring bells on Friday during the Battle of the Bells charity event to raise money for those in need, with donations accepted in person or online via the Salvation Army Gulf Coast’s Facebook page. Senator Jeremy England will be at OS 1515 and the Crave food hall from 10 to 5 — Representative Zachary Grady will ring bells at Walmart on Sangani Boulevard in D’Iberville from 2 to 5. WXXV 25

- ➤ Today, the Singing River Health System is unveiling a new naloxone vending machine outside the ER entrance at the Gulfport campus at 10 a.m. Hospital Administrator Heather Porter said the machine will help provide fast access to naloxone & assist in emergency care. WXXV 25

- ➤ East Central wrestler Andrea Dowdy became the school’s first female athlete to sign a college scholarship on Monday and will compete at Washington and Jefferson in Pennsylvania while studying nursing—her milestone sets a new path for the program. WXXV 25
- ➤ Gulfport running back Cooper Crosby—one of the area's top players—announced his commitment to Mississippi State Tuesday evening and will sign his National Letter of Intent Wednesday morning at Gulfport High School. He chose the Bulldogs—a decision made over Auburn—and will lead his team in the state championship on Saturday. WXXV 25
