- ➤ Holiday events are underway across South Mississippi as communities plan festivals, parades and light shows from November 28 until December 23. Gulfport hosts its Harbor Lights Winter Festival at Jones Park—while Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, Pascagoula and other coastal cities schedule celebrations between November 30 and December 21. WXXV 25
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport received sixteen cold-stunned Kemp's Ridley turtles via plane Monday from the New England Aquarium and is checking them to decide on treatment—if the turtles get healthy, they will be released into the Mississippi Sound over the coming weeks and months.
