  • On November 22, the Mississippi Coast Mustang Club held its 45th Anniversary Fall Festival at Pass Christian harbor from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. & turned the waterfront into an open car show with music, raffles, and family fun; organizers also ran a USMC Toys for Tots drive & filled three tubs with donated toys.  Gazebo Gazette
  • Sparklight donated $1,500 to Catholic Charities of South Mississippi food bank to help local families when needs rose during the holiday season — the gift is part of its Refer-A-Friend Connections that Matter campaign.  WXXV 25

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Mississippians have until November 30 to apply for MEMA’s residential safe room grant program, which offers up to $3,500 for building FEMA—compliant safe rooms. The program allocates 38 grants per county.  WXXV 25

  • The Picayune Maroon Tide are making their fifth consecutive South State appearance after defeating Hancock 52-20 last Friday — they have been practicing throughout Thanksgiving week. Sports reporter Everett Ganier Jr. visited the team ahead of their big game to gather updates.  WXXV 25
  • At Home of Grace in Vancleave, officials broke ground on a new softball field named for Biloxi Shuckers ambassador Barry Lyons—materials and labor were provided by the Shuckers.
