COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Harrison County law enforcement agencies are hosting a Feed the Needy meal program for residents this Thanksgiving season and the deadline to request a meal by calling a local police department or sheriff's office is 4 p.m. Friday—this program has supported the community for decades.  WXXV 25
  • North Bay Civitan President Keith Wilson announced that the 16th annual Gobble Wobble Food Drive and Bridge Run will take place this weekend. The event will bring neighbors together to collect food donations and run over the local bridge—helping families in need.  WXXV 25
  • The City of Biloxi is getting downtown ready for Pink Friday on November 21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. — local voices Kay Miller and Rachel Kelley said businesses will be open to welcome visitors for the event.  WXXV 25

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The service for Landon Perry, a MGCCC soccer player killed when he was hit by a car while riding an electric scooter on Perkinston-Silver Run Road, will be held Saturday, November 22 at Venture Church’s Wiggins campus with visitation starting at 10 a.m. and the official service at noon.  WXXV 25

CULTURE NEWS

  • On November 7th, Area 34 held its monthly Four on the Floor event at Club 34 with DJ Currie, The Jezereck, Charles Logan and headliners Dos Leches energizing local fans and boosting the EDM scene on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The group will host Abduction, a two-day EDM event in February to further support local talent.  Gazebo Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Coast Episcopal School in Long Beach is expanding its Seemann Makerspace to include preschoolers and will offer indoor soccer clinics for kindergarten through fifth-grade players in December. The new programs aim to boost early STEAM learning and teamwork — non-enrolled families may sign up online — marking a fresh opportunity in local education.  Gazebo Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Gulf Coast Restoration Fund Advisory Board completed its review of 89 project applications and submitted its ranked funding recommendations to the Mississippi Development Authority on November 14th — the list totals $69 million from BP's economic damages settlement. The board held four public meetings to gather input and selected projects focused on airport expansion, hospital upgrades, and research development to boost regional opportunities.  Gazebo Gazette
  • Local lawmakers briefed Biloxi’s business community early Tuesday by outlining key priorities for the 2025 legislative session—streamlined restaurant regulations, stronger schools, coastal restoration, and improved seafood labeling—as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce hosted the event.  WXXV 25

SPORTS NEWS

  • The St. Martin Girls Flag Football team, which made history in May as the first state champion in its sport, received their championship rings Tuesday—an effort led by school faculty, community members, and business leaders.  WXXV 25
  • On November 14, the Pass High Pirates football team won 49-22 over Morton High in the MHSAA 4A playoffs, marking their first 11-win season since 1975 and adding to a record of nine wins by 20 points or more this season — the victory came with strong performances on offense and defense. The Pirates will travel to Columbia High on November 21 at 7 p.m. to face the undefeated Wildcats in a round three playoff matchup as they aim to advance further.  Gazebo Gazette
