- ➤ Southern Miss Center for Military Veterans teamed up with the Marine Corps Reserve and Gulf Park Health Center to collect toys for children at Hattiesburg and Long Beach campuses. Donation boxes are open until early December and pickups will happen on Dec. 3 at Gulf Park and Dec. 5 at Hattiesburg — the drive will help provide Christmas gifts for families in Lamar, Forrest and Harrison counties. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Biloxi reported that restoration work at both the Coliseum Pier and Forrest Avenue Pier is nearly complete. Crews replaced rotten structure parts and added new decking at the Coliseum Pier while port maintenance fixed decking at Forrest Avenue Pier and will install new lighting over the next few weeks—updating the waterfront—ensuring safer public access.
