COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The Biloxi Visitors Center revealed its 2025 t-shirt design by Brandy Geyer today. The shirts will be available for purchase on December 4 at the center after the Lighting of the Lighthouse event—each costs $25—while supplies remain limited. WXXV 25
- ➤ CASA of South Mississippi hosted a 'Grateful for You' dinner at the Golden Nugget on Tuesday evening to honor over 100 volunteers, youth court judges and community leaders—attendees enjoyed dinner, volunteer awards and a keynote address from former foster care youth Daniel Harris. The nonprofit supports children in foster care and will begin training new volunteers in January. WXXV 25
- ➤ Brighton, a three-year-old girl with a rare mitochondrial disease, will receive a new wheelchair van after the community donated hundreds of contributions. The updated van will help her travel more easily and improve her daily life. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Gulf Coast Veterans Association is hosting a Thanksgiving drive this month for active duty members and veterans; interested individuals must register by November 21 to receive a free Thanksgiving kit including a turkey—details will be provided after registration. WXXV 25
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Biloxi High School students competed in a t-shirt design contest for the upcoming Christmas on the Avenue event, and the winner was announced Wednesday evening. Kannen Pittman won $500 and her artwork will be featured on the t-shirts — the top three finalists were invited to attend Ground Zero Blues Club. WXXV 25

- ➤ John Miller is leading two groups at Long Beach Library to help residents with suicide prevention and support. The suicide survivors group meets on the first and third Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. while the awareness group meets on the first Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. WXXV 25
