- ➤ Behind Biloxi Blue is a nonprofit formed by Biloxi police spouses to support law enforcement on the Gulf Coast through volunteer opportunities and fundraisers. Gretchen Warkentien and Kylee Smith explained the group's mission during a recent studio discussion. WXXV 25
- ➤ Memorial Hospital and Mississippi Highway Patrol are teaming up to host a Community Trunk or Treat event on October 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Memorial Hospital Gulfport — Landon Orozco of Troop K provided the details. WXXV 25
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Pass Christian High School juniors and seniors attended the Mississippi Air National Guard College and Career Fair at the Trent Lott Combat Readiness Training Center—buses carried students on Tuesday and will run again on Thursday—and over 40 groups offered college, career, and military service options. - ➤ Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College was selected to compete for the Aspen Prize as one of 200 schools invited for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. The college will now begin its application process — marking its sixth invitation to join the competition. WXXV 25
