Good morning, Biloxi.

Gulfport High School senior Crosby Parker arranged a special visit for Cooperative Month when Coast Electric linemen visited West Elementary to explain how they power Gulf communities — he organized the meeting as part of his role on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Leadership Council.

Singing River Electric announced its 2026 Cooperative Youth Leaders selected from high school juniors in its service areas, including Addison Breland-Richton School District, Emily Frazier-St. Martin High School, and Cade Parker-Vancleave High School.

They will meet with elected officials and students nationwide to learn teamwork and leadership skills — a program that will open doors for their future growth.
