ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality issued a beach water contact advisory for East Courthouse Road Beach, warning that swimmers may face an increased risk of illness until safe bacteria levels return—advisories remain for Gulfport West Beach and Biloxi East Central Beach. - ➤ A recent survey by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety shows that seatbelt use has reached 86.6% today, up from 81.2% in 2024 and 77.9% in 2016—indicating a strong move toward safety on local roads.
