  • D’Iberville Police took part in the annual Baby Cruisin’ Parade at Beautiful Minds Daycare this week, where children lined up with bikes, jeeps, or other rides to enjoy the tradition. The event brightened the day for both the kids and the officers—each sharing in the community spirit.  WXXV 25
  • Crowds gathered in Pass Christian on Thursday night for the annual Burn ‘em up in the Pass competition where vintage cars and hot rods performed burnouts amid heavy smoke.   • Dr. George Loukatos of the American Cancer Society said Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast is a culinary fundraiser to support cancer efforts and will be held on November 6 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport — the event will offer a variety of dishes — to benefit cancer research.  WXXV 25
  • Memorial Health completed its first CardioMEMS procedure at Memorial Biloxi as a major step in heart failure care—this tiny wireless device sits inside the body to monitor lung pressure and alert doctors before symptoms worsen.  WXXV 25

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ocean Springs defeated d'Iberville 42-21 at Warrior Stadium — marking d'Iberville's first loss of the season. Soloman Baggett scored four touchdowns while both teams now stand at 6-1, with Ocean Springs on a bye next week and d'Iberville set to play St. Martin.  WXXV 25
  • Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi will host Banana Ball games in the 2026 season as The Firefighters and Loco Beach Coconuts play on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 (ticket lottery is open until Oct. 31). Biloxi Shuckers and local tourism agencies partnered to bring this reimagined baseball experience to the Gulf Coast (featuring rules such as fan-caught foul balls counting as outs).  SuperTalk Mississippi Media
