- ➤ On Wednesday, hundreds gathered in Diamondhead for the annual Cruisin' the Coast celebration where paradegoers viewed vintage Broncos — colorful classic Chevrolets as seven clergy blessed each car with a certificate. Although inclement weather cut the event at Diamondhead Town Green short, local residents continue to cherish this coastal tradition. WXXV 25
- ➤ Cruisin’ the Coast registration numbers for America’s Largest Block Party reached 10,100 vehicles as of Thursday — surpassing last year’s 9,961 and 2023’s 10,070, a sign of strong interest ahead of the event. WXXV 25
- ➤ Funeral arrangements for former Sun Herald publisher and community leader Roland Weeks Jr., who died over the weekend, were announced with visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14 at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi—Weeks wished to have his ashes scattered on the Mississippi Coast. - ➤ Earlier this week, Our Lady Academy's Myah Favre was named Miss Volleyball for class 3A for the second year in a row after posting the nation's top hitting percentage and 561 kills. She said she feels honored by the award and congratulated her team as they continue their road to a state championship + a new season of strong play. WXXV 25
