- ➤ The Joppa Shriners will host a Steak Night on Friday, October 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Joppa Shrine on Shriners BLVD. They will also host a combined Trunk or Treat and Trail of Horrors on October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.—with trunk setups at noon and $5 tickets sold until 10:30 p.m. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Lyman Senior Center hosted its Seniors Cruisin’ event Wednesday morning—featuring antique cars, food, games, live music, and a special Elvis appearance—and brought festive celebration to seniors and their families. WXXV 25

- ➤ Cruisin’ the Coast Day 3 started Wednesday morning when the Biloxi Block Party kicked off as downtown Biloxi shut down—transforming the streets into a display of classic cars, live music, vendor booths and fresh gulf seafood. Cruisers continue to arrive, drawing thousands and making the event one of the week’s best experiences. WXXV 25
- ➤ Today, the Emmett Till Interpretive Center begins its 'Remembering Emmett: From Silence to Social Change' series with an event at Tougaloo College during its 156th Founders’ Week as part of a series scheduled through November across Mississippi to honor the civil rights icon's legacy. - ➤ Toast to the Coast is set to celebrate 75 years of academic excellence at Coast Episcopal School on October 17 with a Diamond Jubilee kickoff that includes a Patron Party at 6 p.m. and a Main Event at 7 p.m.—over 600 guests will attend a fundraiser honoring the school’s founder with commemorative displays, a diamond-themed raffle and silent auction. - ➤ Mississippi Highway Patrol is taking part in Cruisin’ the Coast and will show off an old squad car along with two mustangs—one new and one older—to highlight their fleet while warning that rising traffic may increase crash risks. - ➤ Tuesday night, attendees gathered at the Island View Casino parking lot in Gulfport to watch the free Cruisin’ the Coast flame throwing competition that featured classic cars, live music by Ty Taylor and the Kinfolk, and $1,000 in cash prizes—food and beverages were available on site. WXXV 25
- ➤ This week, Haven is available for adoption at the Humane Society of South Mississippi as the featured Pet of the Week. Local residents can visit the shelter to learn how they can give Haven a forever home. WXXV 25
