- ➤ Our Lady Academy announced that senior Elizabeth Simpson was named a National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist and fellow senior Abubrey Canzoneri was recognized as a National Merit Commended Student. - ➤ The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality issued water contact advisories for Gulfport West Beach and Biloxi East Central Beach due to high bacteria levels—swimmers should avoid water during or within 24 hours after heavy rains until safe levels return. Gazebo Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today the Department of Marine Resources moved its licensing office to 1716 A.J. Holloway Drive in Biloxi — the Pass Christian check station will no longer issue license sales. The new office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. WXXV 25
