- ➤ The Salvation Army is accepting applications for the 2025 Angel Tree Program—this program will provide eligible children under 12 with clothing and toys during the holiday season. Families must meet verified requirements to participate. WXXV 25

- ➤ Cruisin’ the Coast is the 29th annual block party that will take place from October 5 through 12—Executive Director Woody Bailey discussed the details on studio today. WXXV 25
- ➤ Grammy Museum Mississippi has extended the Taylor Swift exhibit until Dec. 14—fans had pushed for more time after the planned closing in February and later Aug. 31. The museum will celebrate Swift through her birthday by showcasing key artifacts from her career. SuperTalk Mississippi Media

- ➤ The City of Biloxi will host a golf cart inspection and registration event tomorrow from 3 to 7 p.m. in the west parking lot of Edgewater Mall—Cecilia Walton provided city details for the event. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office announced that absentee ballots for Nov. 4 special legislative elections are now available at local circuit clerk offices and through mail-in options using the Y’all Vote website—circuit clerk offices remain open until Saturday, Nov. 1 with Saturday voting on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. until noon. - ➤ The American Red Cross is urging local donors to give lifesaving blood or platelets this fall as donations help car accident victims — sickle cell and cancer patients receive needed care. - ➤ Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs won 40-23 in a homecoming game against Southwest Mississippi Community College — they are now ranked fourth nationally in NJCAA Division I. The team will travel to Pearl River Community College — they will face the Wildcats. WXXV 25
- ➤ The SEC announced the nine-game conference schedule starting in 2026 for Mississippi State and Ole Miss, where each team will play three annual opponents and six rotating ones over four seasons—each season requiring a matchup with an opponent from the ACC, Big Ten or Big 12.
