- ➤ The Biloxi Police Department honored Officer Laik, a recent law enforcement academy graduate who earned PT and academic awards — the department said he will soon advance within the force. WXXV 25
- ➤ Legislation to let the EPA review Mississippi’s bid to join the National Estuary Program passed the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee—a key move to bring federal funds for Mississippi Sound protection. If approved, the law will give the program a chance at federal resources—boosting environmental research and safeguard efforts. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Mississippi National Guard held Exercise Emerald Warrior in St. Croix earlier today—Black Hawk crews and the 185th Aviation provided support with the Kentucky Air National Guard to test special tactics airmen in infiltration, exfiltration, and mass-casualty evacuation missions. The training allowed for real-world medical response practice under pressure. WXXV 25
