Officials report that more than 1,300 Mississippians have used a free life insurance policy locator tool so far this year—collecting over $24 million, while more than 1,600 claimed over $37 million in 2024.

The locator, created by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, connects beneficiaries with unclaimed policies to secure benefits.
