- ➤ Today, the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport will host a Hurricane Katrina commemoration starting at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast and a guest speaker to honor volunteers, staff and local businesses that rebuilt the museum—former Governor Haley Barbour and Gulfport Mayor Hugh Keating are scheduled to attend, and breakfast guests will get free admission with displays available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. WXXV 25
- ➤ Biloxi residents went to a Hurricane Katrina Remembrance Ceremony Friday morning at the visitors center where Mayor Gilich and Congressman Ezell led prayers and speeches to honor the storm's 20th anniversary. The Biloxi Fire Department recruit class 25-02 read the names of those who died and visitors looked at artifacts and photos showing the city before and after the storm. WXXV 25
