Starting Aug. 5, Mississippi Lottery Corporation will offer Cruisin’ the Coast scratchers for $2 that show four cartoon hot rods and an odometer symbol that doubles prizes with a top win of $25,000.
The tickets honor the annual car show on the Gulf Coast & will run from Oct. 5 to Oct. 12.
🏛️ Government
Mississippi State University and the U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement at Stennis Space Center to boost advanced sensing, digital modeling, and cybersecurity for defense missions.
The agreement builds on research from several MSU centers and CNMOC’s expertise—promising enhanced defense technology and workforce development in Mississippi.
Biloxi and Gulfport signed a sister city agreement with Rionegro from Colombia as Mayor Jorge Rivas joined local leaders to renew ties that began in 2019 & were slowed by COVID.
The agreement is expected to boost tourism, commerce, and economic growth in the communities.
