9 Toes Brewing Co in Pass Christian held its first Independence Day festival on July 4 with vendors and live music featuring a hot dog contest.

The brewery will repeat the event next year— and plans a monthly block party on July 18 and a veteran fundraiser on Sept. 11-12.

Student-athletes Alexander Mink and Nick Dulaney from Long Beach were named Academic All Americans on Wednesday, July 8 at MGCCC.
