- ➤ Mississippi State University signed an Educational Partnership Agreement with Keesler Air Force Base to launch a Bachelor of Applied Science in Weather and Environment program that lets airmen transfer technical training into college credits. - ➤ Work on Biloxi's $20.8 million Popp’s Ferry Extension Project began in November 2024 to build a new 1.53-mile, four-lane roadway from north of Pass Road to Highway 90 — crews are installing a tunnel foundation to connect parking lots. The project sets the stage for a future bridge and a separate plan will replace the 45-year-old draw span using a $12 million MDOT grant and $3 million city match — officials expect completion by the end of 2026.
