- ➤ South Mississippians will gather on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Visitor Center to celebrate the life of civic leader Karen Sock, who died in April after a courageous battle with cancer. - ➤ A baby bald eagle is returning to its family in Pascagoula today after weeks of rehabilitation following a fall from an 80-foot nesting platform. Woodside Wildlife Rescue built a new nesting platform and treated the eaglet's broken leg before its release. WXXV 25

- ➤ The Biloxi-based Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for overall quality and patient care today, marking the second consecutive year with top marks.
