- ➤ It has been one year since Mercy Cross Center opened in downtown Biloxi — a facility designed to help those experiencing homelessness with meals, healthcare, and job training — and the center has helped 136 people move off the streets. The center will host a Bishop’s Gala fundraiser on November 15 at Beau Rivage to support its ongoing mission. WXXV 25

- ➤ During a Biloxi City Hall meeting on May 20, retiring Alderman George Lawrence asked Mayor Andrew 'Fofo' Gilich about state criticism of the city's tidelands leases — the mayor said winning five court cases proves the Secretary of State is wrong.
