- ➤ NOAA forecasts an above average Atlantic hurricane season with 13 to 19 named storms as this summer marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. - ➤ The Mississippi Highway Patrol will deploy extra troopers on highways from Friday until midnight Monday during Memorial Day—enforcing seat belt, speeding, distracted, and impaired driving laws as part of the Click-it or Ticket campaign.
