- ➤ Ocean Springs celebrates the opening of The Traveler behind the Walter Anderson Museum of Art; local artists helped design this new coffee shop—restaurant and community hub with a focus on local craftsmanship. - ➤ Lynn Meadows Discovery Center cut the ribbon on its new Seagull Splashpad this past Saturday—marking 27 years of service—and welcomed visitors with food and activities. The splash pad will open based on weather conditions—providing families a new way to relax during the summer. WXXV 25
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old in Gulfport was arrested on May 19 at 3:08 a.m. for possessing a weapon after a felony conviction when officers conducting a traffic stop near Tegarden Road and East Pass Road saw him attempt to load an extended magazine into a gun, after which he fled and was charged with resisting arrest and failure to comply — he is now held on a $25,000 bond.
