- ➤ Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery has doubled its processing capacity to roughly 100,000 barrels a day from Venezuelan crude and is operating 24 hours + easing fuel price pressures as global oil costs rise amid ongoing overseas conflict. WXXV 25
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Singing River Health System reached 5,000 Da Vinci Robotic surgeries at Ocean Springs Hospital, enabling minimally invasive procedures that reduce recovery time. Hospital leaders said they will treat more patients with this technology (advanced robotics) to improve care. WXXV 25
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Biloxi High alum Julie Segroves broke the Air Force Academy freshman school record with a jump of 13 feet 4.5 inches at the Drake Relays (she was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week) and now ranks second all-time at the academy. WXXV 25
- ➤ Ocean Springs Greyhounds beat the St. Martin Yellow Jackets 2-1 in game one of the second round playoffs at Jack. B Hughes Field — they will meet again on Friday at 6 p.m. on St. Martin's home turf. WXXV 25
- ➤ Mississippi Matrix Volleyball Club celebrated 11 athletes signing to play for colleges (Jones, Coastal Alabama, Jackson State, Itawamba CC, Mississippi Gulf Coast, Pearl River, and Co-Lin) on the Gulf Coast. WXXV 25
