- ➤ Local first responders teamed with Beau Rivage & Keesler Federal on Tuesday at Fallen Oak in a golf tournament benefiting responders from 36 Coast law enforcement and fire agencies. Organizers have begun plans for the seventh edition scheduled for next year. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Humane Society of South Mississippi in Gulfport is asking for donations to its chicken soup fund to help cover $30,000 in monthly medical care for sick and injured animals — support needed for shelter, food, and operating costs. WXXV 25
- ➤ Amtrak’s Mardi Gras Service welcomed its 100,000th passenger on Tuesday, exceeding its projection of 75,000. Coast leaders, including Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich, joined Southern Rail Commission officials on a celebratory ride that marked a new era for passenger rail in South Mississippi. WXXV 25
