- ➤ The annual Black beach weekend in Biloxi ended with a much quieter turnout this April as college students attended events outside the city, and Biloxi Police reported 133 fewer citations and 15 fewer vehicle tows than last year—indicating a significant drop in attendance. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Gulf Coast Skatepark Association is hosting a yard sale at Biloxi DIY Park on Hopkins Boulevard this weekend — volunteers are needed to help load, transport, and set up donated items before and clean up after the event. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and proceeds will support the skatepark while any unsold items go to local nonprofits. WXXV 25

- ➤ The Biloxi Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on May 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Municipal Building to review cases on a methadone clinic permit, a short-term rental in a condo, a tattoo parlor request, a setback variance for a storage shed, and a parking lot variance — a full notice is available at City Hall, the Public Library, and the Community Development Department.
