- ➤ The Biloxi Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on April 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Auditorium of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Municipal Building on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to review a zoning map amendment for a parcel at 1896 Popps Ferry Road — the case is numbered 25-015-PC. - ➤ Governor Tate Reeves signed a law that will lower the state income tax from 4% to 3% by 2030 and may phase it out completely by 2040 if revenue targets are met — the law also cuts the grocery tax and raises the gas tax to boost the economy. Supporters say the move could draw in new businesses and families, while some lawmakers worry it may hurt funding for schools and health care if federal support drops. Gazebo Gazette
