Nissan representatives accepted the award at the Mississippi State Capitol this morning — Governor Tate Reeves praised the win for highlighting Mississippi manufacturing.

Over the weekend, volleyball teams gathered at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center in Biloxi for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Open—264 teams competed in a two-day tournament that featured a college recruiting showcase.

The Biloxi Shuckers announced that their Junior Broadcaster Program will continue for the 2025 season, allowing young broadcasters aged 12 to 16 to join Javik Blake in the booth during three Sunday home games (April 27 against the Montgomery Biscuits at 1:05 p.m., May 25 against the Knoxville Smokies at 5:05 p.m., and June 8 against Montgomery at 5:05 p.m.). Participants will get media credentials, a prize pack, and a chance to join the broadcast after submitting an essay, audition tape, and contact information.

Gulfport running back Cooper Crosby was named a U.S. Army All-American after he set a 4.39 laser record at a combine in Jackson on Saturday + he ended his season with 1,032 rushing yards, 278 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns and will play in the Military Appreciation Bowl in December in Frisco, Texas.
