Ingalls Shipbuilding recently celebrated 70 graduates from its apprentice school at the Pascagoula shipyard, where students received classroom instruction and paid on-the-job training.

🏥 Health
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality has issued a water contact advisory for Gulfport East Beach from Tegarden eastward to Anniston Ave and lifted the advisory for Lakeshore Beach; advisories remain for several other local beaches.
Swimmers are advised not to swim during or within 24 hours after heavy rainfall.

Biloxi Shuckers announced that their Junior Broadcaster Program will give kids (aged 12-18) a chance to call play-by-plays during the fourth inning of Sunday home games on April 12, April 26 and May 24.
Applicants must submit a short essay and audition tape to secure a spot.
