CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral hosted its tenth annual St. Joseph Altar Celebration at Sacred Heart Center (a historic community venue) on Thursday. Guests honored St. Joseph with relics, photos and symbolic offerings, received a special blessing from the bishop, and shared a complimentary spaghetti lunch. WXXV 25
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ashley Eubanks is named March Teacher of the Month by Huntington Learning Center for her work teaching science at St. Martin Middle School, as reported by WXXV News 25. The award highlights her dedication to education. WXXV 25
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Disability Rights Mississippi will host a free Medicaid clinic on March 24 at the Knight Nonprofit Center from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as community members are invited to receive Medicaid assistance with details provided by Amelia Tomsic. WXXV 25
- ➤ Dr. Mark Murray shared advice on easing allergy symptoms during the peak season in an interview with WXXV News 25. His tips can help residents manage their symptoms (video available for details). WXXV 25
- ➤ Catalyst Counseling and Therapy hosts a chronic illness support group every Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in person is limited to 14 participants or you can join virtually via Zoom; call 228-284-2644 for more details. WXXV 25
