CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 21-year-old Biloxi woman pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and armed robbery for the July 3rd, 2022 shooting death of her best friend, Cody Smith—she will spend life in prison consecutive to 30 years. SuperTalk Mississippi Media
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ North Woolmarket Elementary and Middle School received a new book vending machine funded through Scholastic Book Fair rewards — the machine lets students use a special coin to select a book. The school hopes the new addition will inspire a love of reading among its students. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Alpha Omega Robotics team from Our Lady Academy competed at the FRC Magnolia Regional Competition where they moved from last place to second and their robot won the creativity award. The team will compete at Bayou Regionals in Kenner, Louisiana in April. WXXV 25
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Joah Chappelle—Pearl River Community College standout—averaged nearly 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists per game during his freshman season and was named first team All-MACCC as well as Freshman of the Year. WXXV 25
