- ➤ Biloxi will host a biweekly youth skate clinic this Saturday from 1 to 4 at DIY Park on Hopkins Boulevard. The event welcomes kids 15 and under of all skill levels (helmets required and parents must stay with them). WXXV 25

- ➤ Passengers on the American Cruise Lines ship American Symphony disembarked Tuesday afternoon at the Back Bay to explore local natural beauty — and they enjoyed Mayor Gilich's piano performance. The eight-day cruise starts in Pensacola and will stop in Ocean Springs, Ship Island, and Gulfport before ending in New Orleans. WXXV 25
- ➤ Taco Sombrero celebrated its ten-year anniversary with a special Taco Tuesday at its Biloxi location. The event featured souvenir cups, giveaways + gift card drawings as staff thanked the community for a decade of support. WXXV 25

- ➤ Ocean Springs High Theatre Department won three awards at the Southeastern Theatre Conference over the weekend (Alyssa Flinchum, Reece Rushing, and the sound design team were honored for their work on The Crane Wife) in Ocean Springs. WXXV 25

- ➤ MGCCC Foundation will host its annual Scholarship Gala on March 28 to honor student achievements and recognize supporters + Sherri Smith will join ahead of the event. WXXV 25
- ➤ The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks reminds undergraduate and graduate students to apply for internships before March 15 (an opportunity to build practical skills in diverse career fields). WXXV 25
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Blood Center is hosting blood drives across the Coast. Main Street Baptist Church hosts drive on March 14 (11 a.m.–3 p.m.), First Baptist Church in Vancleave on March 15 (9 a.m.–1:30 p.m.), Amazing Grace Ministries in Biloxi on March 22 (12:30–4:30 p.m.), with additional events at schools and churches. - ➤ The American Red Cross is hosting several blood drives across South Mississippi during March, with events at Ocean Springs Library, Target in D’Iberville, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Jackson County Chamber, and Scarlet Pearl and Mosaic Church. - ➤ West Harrison’s student athlete Sean Fairley, excelling in football and track, signed with the University of Southern Mississippi one week ago while earning national recognition for his record-setting throws.
