- ➤ Captain Garrett Beasley of the Ocean Springs Fire Department was named a nominee for First Responder of the Year during the inaugural First Responders Appreciation Luncheon today; his life-saving efforts during an infant call in July 2025 and strong teamwork earned him the honor + spotlighted his dedication to fire service. - ➤ The Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs has announced its annual children’s art contest themed 'Once upon a Gala' for local students in grades K to 12. Cash prizes will be awarded in each division, with winners on Facebook April 17 & an awards ceremony in May. WXXV 25
