- ➤ Biloxi will host its First Friday Block Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6 at the HowHop Creative District on Hopkins Boulevard and Howard Avenue—featuring Meet the Press, art vendors, food trucks and more. The city plans five block parties in April, May, June and September. WXXV 25

- ➤ Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport is accepting summer internship applications to train in aquatics, where applications close Friday, March 6 (for fish and invertebrates), as well as in its marine mammal program with applications closing Friday, March 13; interns will assist with the care of fish, reptiles, dolphins, and otters. - ➤ Mississippi Power employees celebrated Read Across America Day at North Gulfport Elementary and Middle School on Monday by reading to pre-k and kindergarten students and giving each child a new book to take home & showing a commitment to local education. WXXV 25

- ➤ The Mississippi Senate is reviewing House Bill 1466, which would let restaurants use menu symbols + a clear legend instead of labeling every seafood item individually. - ➤ Navy officials held a keel authentication ceremony at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula Tuesday, marking the shift of the U.S.S.
