COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Gulf Coast Community Foundation celebrates 36 years of giving back with its second annual 228 Day Open House at the Knight Nonprofit Center, marking the end of a month-long campaign focused on volunteerism and philanthropy in South Mississippi.  WXXV 25

CULTURE NEWS

  • Biloxi’s historic Saenger Theater moves closer to reopening as the City Council approved a three-year management agreement with Encore Saenger. Extensive restoration work inside and out has been completed to prepare the theater for its new chapter.  WXXV 25

SPORTS NEWS

  • Our Lady Academy won the MHA quarterfinal by defeating Jefferson County 51-27 at Raymond High School. The Lady Crescents will face Belmont (4:30 p.m. tip-off) on Wednesday.  WXXV 25
  • St. Stanislaus won a tight Class 3A Quarterfinal game against Port Gibson 56-51. The Rocks will play Booneville at the Big House on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.  WXXV 25
  • Biloxi boys basketball advanced to the Big House after a 50-39 comeback win against Meridian (in Poplarville). They will face Starkville in the semifinals with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff Tuesday in Jackson.  WXXV 25
  • Biloxi Shuckers announced their 2026 community night schedule — it starts with Pascagoula Night on April 8 and Education Day on April 22 at 11:05 a.m., followed by events honoring local schools, mental health, military, and first responders through Sept. 4.  WXXV 25
  • The Biloxi Lady Indians won 55-39 against Brandon on Friday and will play Starkville on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Jackson.  WXXV 25
  • Harrison Central girls basketball won a tough quarterfinal game (45-42) against Northwest Rankin on Friday night. They will play Madison Central Tuesday at 3 p.m. at The Big House for a chance at the State Championship.  WXXV 25
