- ➤ The Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport has named Jeff Gibula interim CEO as outgoing CEO Kurt Allen will leave at the end of the month. Gibula has over 30+ years aquarium experience, has worked at the facility since Oct. 2019, and will support staff during the search for a permanent leader. WXXV 25

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality has issued water contact advisories for four Gulf Coast beaches, including Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian beaches, while advisories remain at Long Beach and Biloxi East Central Beach (Station 12B); swimmers should avoid water contact after heavy rain until bacteria levels become safe. - ➤ A military exercise called Sentry South 26-2 began Friday at south Mississippi bases, with over a thousand active duty, National Guard and Reserve Forces taking part at the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center and Camp Shelby. - ➤ Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport warns local residents about scam calls that impersonate its official number and promise free airline tickets. Officials advise hanging up immediately and not sharing personal or financial information (authorities are investigating the issue). WXXV 25
