- ➤ The Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport has named Jeff Gibula interim CEO as outgoing CEO Kurt Allen will leave at the end of the month. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality has issued water contact advisories for four Gulf Coast beaches, including Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian beaches, while advisories remain at Long Beach and Biloxi East Central Beach (Station 12B); swimmers should avoid water contact after heavy rain until bacteria levels become safe. - ➤ A military exercise called Sentry South 26-2 began Friday at south Mississippi bases, with over a thousand active duty, National Guard and Reserve Forces taking part at the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center and Camp Shelby.
