- ➤ CASA of South Mississippi welcomed 12 new court-appointed special advocates at the Knight Nonprofit Center in Gulfport after they completed 30 hours of training and court observation to support children in foster care. CASA is also looking for additional volunteers. WXXV 25
- ➤ Coast Electric hosted an event Thursday at its Kiln headquarters to highlight its Operation Round Up program that funds local charities across South Mississippi and nonprofit leaders (Excel by 5 Hancock County and CASA of South Mississippi) showed how small donations support community work. - ➤ First Methodist Church in Long Beach hosts its Side-By-Side Respite Ministry for people with memory loss, featuring Mardi Gras-themed games, dancing, music, and food from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday (free for participants) and welcoming 8 to 15 regular guests while inviting new friends.
