- ➤ Mississippi Power warned local customers about a scam involving calls threatening service disconnection if payment is made, and stressed that the company never asks for debit or credit card details over the phone. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport is seeking interns this spring for research and animal care work, offering hands-on experience with wild dolphins and other marine animals. Applicants must be 18 or older and submit forms by Feb. 15. WXXV 25
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Biloxi Mayor Fofo said on Tuesday that the Saenger Theatre renovations are nearly complete, but issues with the auditorium floor and audio upgrades mean a reopening date is not set. - ➤ The Seabees say goodbye to Rebecca Shaw, their public affairs officer for 3+ years, by presenting her with the Civilian Service Commendation Medal at a farewell ceremony in Gulfport. Base officials say her leadership was key to the construction center's mission. WXXV 25
