- ➤ Library systems across South Mississippi are seeking volunteers for the annual Homegrown book festival, which will take place Jan. 30 and 31 at the USM Gulf Park Campus. Volunteers can get involved by following the local guidelines provided by Sarah Crisley-Ruskey and Kevin Cole. WXXV 25
- ➤ Women of Wisdom will host their first luncheon of the year on January 14 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Knight Nonprofit Center in the Regions Room, featuring Robin Killeen and Dr. Eileen Whittemore. WXXV 25

- ➤ The Harrison County Beautification Commission hosts its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program through Jan. 10 at drop-off locations in Biloxi, Gulfport, Long Beach, and Pass Christian. Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, and decorations and must not be artificial. WXXV 25
