CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Gulf Coast National Heritage Area added three coastal sites to the Register of Historic Places for 2025 & two are in Harrison County with the Greater Biloxi Subdivision Historic District and JW Randolph School in Pass Christian, while Holly Bluff in Hancock County is noted for gardens and cottages. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A project to restore the Hancock County beach to its original width is in the works after years of erosion weakened local storm defenses. Officials say the $30 million effort will help protect the community in the coming months. WXXV 25
- ➤ Highway 90 between Veterans Avenue and Brady Drive in Biloxi will have its westbound right lane closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting today as crews repave the roadway, with work expected to finish on Jan. 9 (only the right lane is affected). WXXV 25
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Resurrection Catholic beat Pass Christian 75-65 today in a coast-versus-coast game at the local school gym, as Keyshawn Nesbitt led the play. WXXV 25
